Every year, a lot of people are graduating from different courses, yet not most of them get the job they wanted which is to practice the degree they earned. Choosing the best and appropriate course to take is the most crucial part of determining your future. So it very advisable that to take a career aptitude test especially if you are unsure on what career would best fit you. Remember, don’t do something because of peer or family pressure.

What is a career aptitude test? A career aptitude test is recommended to actually help any individual recognize the need to improve your attraction, recruitment and also the retention within your chosen career. Now, in order to develop a sustainable workforce, you also need to meet the growing demands and the only way to do this is to make sure that your ability is fit for the job you have chosen! Not that you will get to practice and give a fair judgment as to why you went to university but also because that will be your edge when applying for a job. And there is good news waiting for people who will be under health care services. There are Jobs in Aged Care & Disability Services that you may want to consider. Actually, there are employers now who are looking to recruit about 40,000 people in the next 5 years! That is because the number of people using their services is expected to rise to 350,000. That alone is surely a guarantee that employment in community service would be a very good career and that is something everyone must really consider. We were all born with hospitality values. we all practice it and it is something we can develop to be of service to others. On top of that, working as a health care provider can be really exciting in many ways. You get really good benefits (health and life insurance, pension, etc), good pay, and most of all, everyday is a learning opportunity!

Nursing is such a noble job. We admire people who have a calling to be a nurse.  They make a difference to people’s lives.  All we have to do is observe how nurses love helping people and how they don’t fear hard work.

To qualify as a nurse, a person has to get at least a nursing diploma and then has to become registered in their country.  There are also what we call trainee nurses and they are closely supervised in the early stages of their employment.

Nursing jobs cover a wide scope. A nurse can care for the aged and do you know that retirees require three times the healthcare services?

Nurses are also needed to care for children, or the disabled. Other nurses care for those suffering from mental health problems whilst other nurses work as operating theatre assistants.

Some nurses become midwives and yet others are in palliative care.

Thus nurses are in short supply all over the world, including Singapore.

So we’d like to invite all nurses out there to come and work in Singapore and all nurses who are already working in Singapore to stay on, take up a BSc Degree in Nursing (Honours) course and get promoted to management levels.

A qualified Registered Nurse can go into any three broad areas; Management, Clinical and Education.

In addition, the Registered Nurse can move upwards to be a Director, Advanced Practice Nurse or Principal Nurse Educator.
